Goa definitely gets my vote for the most fun destination in India! Any recommendations?

goa is truely versatile from non stop partying in the north to lasy beaches in the south since i enjoy goan night life more than its wild life ill tell u bout the
North - the main atraction in the north is usually the night life n the flea market (which is more expensive then usual) to avoid comercial (completely free) parties u need to hook up with some 1 who knows the scene prefreably a local which aint dificult as goans are frendly or make ur way to curlies on anjuna beach and ask thr ull get up to date info also usuall scene is 9 bar on vagator ma favourate parties happen at hill top every saturday its a awsom there are loads of other parties available but for tht up to date info plz ask ur locals (ps also sometimes drivers may mislead u as they get comission at certain places so id advise asking other party aminals or just some random goan as for transport rent  a bike usually off season u can get 1 for 150rs (non geared) but sometimes with enough chit chat i got it for rs50 as well during season it goes up to rs250 and more staying if u wana stay completely free u can carry a sleeping bag down to a beach like vagator n sleep on the beach chairs altho thts wht i do i dont recomend ny 1 else do the same u can rent cheap rooms rs 150 onwards a night food is amasing all over goa but for penny pinchers u get a fish thali at a restraunt called scarlet which is on the road between anjuna and vagator there is also a cheap resteraunt in baga called panjabi dhaba that serves all kinds of food quite reasonable and the food is pretty good =D of course this is the rock bottom as i go to goa with 1000 bucks n end up staying for atleast 2 weeks hope it ws helpfull =)

A couple of cheap hotels in goa:

Hotel Calangute Mahal - Rs. 400/room
It's on the main Baga-Calangute Road between Cafe coffee day and Infantaria. It should come towards your right and is easy to miss so walk/drive slowly and you'll get there!Unless you're going in November/december there's no reason to pay more than that so if he asks for more, you should bargain!

Hotel Sahil - Rs. 500/room
Hotel Sahil is also on the same road on your left a little ahead of Hotel Calangute Mahal. The rooms are a lot nicer here so if you dont mind spending an extra 100, you should definitely go here!

If you're going to Goa, my suggestion would be to live in Baga because that's where the life is and other dun beaches are closeby. Anjuna is 5 mins away by bike...you can rent a bike for 150-250 ruppees a day!
